Contraindications - Absolute contraindications

Heart or respiratory arrest;

Weak spontaneous breathing, coma;

Upper respiratory tract obstruction;

Can not clear the oropharynx and upper respiratory tract secretions, respiratory protection ability low;

Neck and facial trauma, burns and deformity;

Multiple system organ failure (hemodynamic instability, unstable arrhythmia; gastrointestinal perforation / bleeding, severe brain disease)

Contraindications - Relative contraindications

Pneumothorax without drainage;

Recent surgery of face, neck, mouth, pharynx, esophagus and stomach;

Obvious noncooperation or extreme standstill;

Severe hypoxemia (PaO2 <45mmHg) , severe acidosis (pH ≤ 7.20);

Severe infection;

Much respiratory tract secretions or difficult expectoration.
